AI Recipe roulette is happening

RECIPE ROULETTE

So today I'm getting ready for my first recipe roulette. I thought it would be fun if we ask AI for a recipe.

Just to give you a more in detail explanation, recipe roulette is when I open the recipeBook and randomly select a page and whatever is on that page has to be shot. Could be desert, could be BBQ.

The reason I need recipe roulette and restaurant roulette on the Jack and Goshell is that we're learning to try different things. Getting me out of my comfort zone. We expect random selections.

I am already here that a few couples have you done doing restaurant roulette on their date night.

There's something nerve-racking and exciting about random recipes. So today we will ask AI to randomly give us a recipe, and then from here on out I'll go through my cookbooks Weatherby Gordon Ramsay or Rachael Ray.

Dear AI give me a random recipe.

Sure, here's a simple recipe for spaghetti aglio e olio (garlic and oil pasta).

Ingredients:

200g spaghetti

2 cloves garlic

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Salt to taste

Freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Steps:

Cook the spaghetti in a pot of boiling salted water until al dente.

While the spaghetti is cooking, peel and finely chop the garlic.

Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook until the garlic is lightly golden, be careful not to burn it.

When the spaghetti is ready, drain it but keep some of the pasta water.

Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with garlic and oil. Toss well to coat the spaghetti. If it looks dry, add some of the reserved pasta water.

Season with salt to taste. If you like, garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.

Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Remember, the beauty of this recipe is in its simplicity, so use good quality ingredients for the best results.

So be looking for this recipe above as one of my episodes. If you've never subscribe to the Cooking With Jack Show on Youtube please do. This seems fairly easy and should be fun to make. From now on all the random recipes will be from my hand to the cookbook.

Maintaining Positive Well-Being Amidst Turmoil

In a world where uncertainty seems to be the new norm and chaos surrounds us from all directions, it can be incredibly challenging to keep our well-being intact. Political strife, environmental concerns, global pandemics, and economic instability can make it feel like the world is falling apart. However, amidst this turmoil, it's essential to prioritize our mental and emotional health to navigate through these troubled times with resilience and optimism. In this blog post, we'll explore some practical strategies for keeping your well-being positive while the world undergoes constant change.

  1. Limit Media Consumption:

In times of crisis, news outlets are often flooded with negative and distressing information. While it's crucial to stay informed, constant exposure to distressing news can take a significant toll on our mental well-being. Set specific times during the day to check the news, and avoid overindulging in sensationalized stories. Opt for reputable sources that provide balanced reporting to stay informed without becoming overwhelmed.

  1. Focus on What You Can Control:

It's easy to feel helpless when facing global issues beyond our individual control. Instead of dwelling on what you can't change, shift your focus to the aspects of your life you can influence. Concentrate on personal growth, meaningful relationships, and making a positive impact within your community. Empowering yourself in these areas can create a sense of purpose and fulfillment, even in turbulent times.

  1. Practice Mindfulness and Meditation:

Mindfulness and meditation are powerful tools for grounding yourself amidst chaos. These practices encourage you to be present in the moment, reducing anxiety about the past or future. Regular mindfulness exercises can enhance your emotional resilience and help you maintain a positive outlook even when the world seems overwhelming. Find time each day to meditate, breathe deeply, or engage in activities that bring you peace and tranquility.

  1. Stay Connected:

In challenging times, it's crucial to connect with others and share our feelings and experiences. Surround yourself with a supportive network of friends, family, or like-minded individuals who can empathize and uplift you during difficult moments. Social connections are vital for maintaining emotional well-being and can provide a sense of belonging and comfort in times of crisis.

  1. Engage in Self-Care:

Taking care of yourself is not a luxury; it's a necessity, especially when the world feels chaotic. Prioritize self-care activities that promote relaxation, joy, and rejuvenation. Engage in hobbies you enjoy, exercise regularly, eat nourishing foods, and get enough sleep. Remember that taking care of yourself allows you to better handle the challenges that come your way.

  1. Practice Gratitude:

In times of crisis, it's easy to focus on the negative aspects of life. Counteract this by cultivating gratitude daily. Reflect on the things you are grateful for, no matter how small they may seem. Gratitude helps shift your perspective, making it easier to find moments of joy and positivity amidst the chaos.

Conclusion:

While the world may continue to face challenges and uncertainties, it's crucial to remember that we have the power to influence our well-being. By practicing mindfulness, limiting media exposure, focusing on what we can control, staying connected, engaging in self-care, and cultivating gratitude, we can maintain a positive outlook despite the chaos around us. Taking care of our well-being not only benefits us individually but also allows us to be a source of strength and support for others during these troubled times. Let us strive to be resilient and hopeful, knowing that our well-being is a beacon of light ami

Why Do Tennesseans vacation in Gatlinburg?

Intro:

I’ve been living in Tennessee for nine years now and I’ve noticed one thing. Tennesseans vacation in Gatlinburg like we used to vacation in Las Vegas coming from Orange County California.

Lots of people have shown up from California and don’t realize what the proper vacation spots are for the east. During the summer they attend Florida beaches like birds. You probably heard them going to Destin Florida or Panama City.

Usually in the winter months, they attend Gatlinburg. Got lots of great food, great shopping and plenty of entertainment, including dinner shows. They even have their own strip called Parkway.

We probably go up there once a year just to hang out and do some shopping and try new food places. I’m going to cover a few sections of Gatlinburg so that when you guys decide to finally go, you will know where to go and we’re not

Breakfast time is always crowded at the pancake house or you can do breakfast at Paula deans restaurant, which is a good quality or you can hunt deeper and find Bennett’s barbecue if they still have their breakfast buffet. Bennett’s barbecue was good as Paula deans for a lot less money. For dinner Bennett’s BBQ was really good too. I have covered a few food places since being there. (Videos are below) The service is kind of hit or miss in Gatlinburg. That’s why I reviewed these places in the past. I believe it’s called by Booggz directly across from the outlet center. That was a surprise. I really enjoyed that place.  Also, if you’re very creative, you’ll find a cute little pub here or there that you can explore their food and possibly grab a drink if that’s your pleasure.

It’s weird, but the Rocky Mountains, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are all in the same kind of area. That is considered Dolly Parton country. By the way, Dolly Parton’s resort has a great buffet restaurant that is something to visit.

We enjoyed the food they served in their buffet inside the resort. You do not have to be staying at her resort to attend Song and Hearth.

You will also find out that Dolly Parton on the premises, has locked up a song for her 100th birthday. It is not to be opened or played until she turns 100, or if she passes away sooner, she turns 100 even though she’s not alive. Either way will be released on her 100th birthday alive or dead.

Shopping:

If you go shopping, I highly recommend the outlet center. Or drive deep into Gatlinburg and check out their mom paw privately owned shops, which are a lot of fun. This will be the first year that I won’t be going to the Nike outlet in the outlet center but I’m sure my wife will probably still poke her head in to the Coach store and to the sketchers store and grab some ice cream and many other things that she enjoys.

Ironically, it’s about a 3 Hour drive from Nashville to Gatlinburg the same distance it took us on the West Coast to get to Las Vegas.

Entertainment

The smoky mountains are beautiful. The best time to visit is the 3rd weekend in October roughly. That’s when all the leaves in the mountains change colors and it’s the most beautiful site you’ll ever see.

We’re going to Gatlinburg can be for all year around. During the summertime to get away from the heat or the winter time to snuggle up with the one you love. Gatlinburg is a lot of fun and brings you a lot of entertainment from the Ripleys. Believe it or not museum to the upside down building on the strip which I forget what it’s called.

You also have the worlds famous Dollywood amusement park which we love to attend during Christmas time. It’s a great replacement for those of us from California that you go to Disneyland at Christmas time. You also could take the ski lift up to the sky bridge in Gatlinburg if you’re not afraid of heights.

I will include a few my videos that show you where and what we’ve done . All the locations that repeated above are all within a drive of maybe five or 10 minutes. Please do realize that bears really do roam the area so if you Airbnb a cabin, check your doors at night. Will you may have a new guest in the morning.

The importance of resting your meat after cooking

Why You Should Always Rest Your Meat After Cooking

Why You Should Always Rest Your Meat After Cooking
When you cook meat, the muscle fibers contract and squeeze out moisture. This is why a steak that is cooked to perfection can be dry and tough if you cut into it right away.
Resting meat after cooking allows the muscle fibers to relax and reabsorb some of the moisture that was lost. This results in a more tender and juicy piece of meat.
How long should you rest your meat? The amount of time will vary depending on the size and thickness of the cut. A good rule of thumb is to rest a steak for 5-10 minutes, a roast for 15-20 minutes, and a whole chicken for 30 minutes.

There are a few different ways to rest meat. You can simply leave it on a cutting board, or you can wrap it loosely in foil or parchment paper. If you are resting a large piece of meat, you can place it in a cooler to help it retain heat.

No matter how you choose to rest your meat, make sure to let it rest before you slice into it. You will be rewarded with a more tender and juicy piece of meat that is sure to impress your guests.
Here are some additional benefits of resting meat after cooking:
It allows the meat to reach its final temperature. When you remove meat from the oven or grill, it will continue to cook for a few minutes. Resting the meat allows it to reach its final temperature, which will ensure that it is cooked evenly throughout.
It allows the juices to redistribute. As the meat cooks, the juices are driven to the center of the meat. Resting the meat allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more evenly moist piece of meat.

It helps to prevent the meat from drying out. When you cut into meat that is too hot, the juices will run out, leaving you with a dry and tough piece of meat. Resting the meat allows the juices to reabsorb, preventing the meat from drying out.
So next time you cook meat, don't forget to let it rest! You will be rewarded with a more tender, juicy, and flavorful piece of meat.
Here are some tips for resting meat after cooking:
Remove the meat from the heat source and place it on a clean cutting board.
If the meat is large, you can wrap it loosely in foil or parchment paper.
Let the meat rest for 5-10 minutes per inch of thickness.
Do not cut into the meat while it is resting.
Once the meat has rested, slice and serve.
Enjoy!
