WHEN THE MONEY RUNS OUT

As most of you know, my company produces a line of products (BBQ, hot BBQ, teriyaki, gourmet seasoning)

We sell our products at the Orange County Marketplace every Sunday.

This Sunday, a woman wants to buy a jar of sauce for $6. She hands me a credit card. I told her that we have a 3 jar minimum for credit ceard transactions. She complained how she had no money, only her cards.

Now I am not sure if she's crazy for not carrying money or if we need to just stop making money. At least get rid of the penny.

I am so confused. More and more people are using debit/credit card and yet our Gov't is redesigning all our bills and coins. I am not clear on why the need to upgrade a dying currency.

It's like coming out with a better record player.

What are your thoughts and suggestions for American currency?

StupidVille comes to Facebook

I'm starting a new game called STUPIDVILLE. It's really cool. It's for everyone on Facebook. You don't have to grow crops or serve food or shoot people. You just have to stare at your computer screen for three hours a day. It's really fun and you will get the same results as you do from farmville, mafia wars & cafe world, but less work. Have fun with the new game and be STUPID.

BLACK FRIDAY IS TURNING GREY

Once again, greedy America has ruined another great thing.

It seems that Black Friday isn't good enough. The fighting for shopping dollars has gone way overboard. Some sales started two weeks before Black Friday.

Walmart is having a sale every day leading up to Black Friday. Kohl's is having a before Black Friday sale. This is only the beginning.

Online Gamestop and Amazon are already doing their Black Friday early bargans. The official Black Friday website can't even keep up. It's more like Black November. It's not about the first shopping day of Christmas. It's all about getting that dollar. If they could have it their way, the first shopping day would have been the day after Halloween.

I will be out shopping this Black Friday, but it won't be the same.

AOL is on it way to AOHELL

Time Warner has spun off AOL. Merging with AOL was their first mistake. Now AOL is planning on firing 1/3 of their employees. Let's call a spade a spade. This is the beginning of the end for AOL.

They truly were helpful to millions in the early days of the Internet, but they never grew up with the rest of us.

iPhone Blogging

Time to get back to blogging. I am trying out blogpress on the iphone.

I had a chance to see the new DROID phone this weekend. It feels clunky and has a dim screen. It runs faster than the I phone by about 30%. It's touch key board and real key board r hard to use. I think bringing out ten phones with android on it is going to hurt the brand. We will see. I've been wrong before.....but not often.
