The 4th of July, also known as Independence Day, is a time when family and friends come together to celebrate the birth of the United States of America. And what better way to commemorate this patriotic occasion than by hosting a fantastic backyard BBQ? Get ready to fire up the grill, hoist the flag, and ignite the spirit of freedom as we share some mouthwatering recipes and tips for a memorable 4th of July BBQ bash!
Start with a Stellar Spread:
No BBQ is complete without a delectable spread of appetizers and sides. Offer an array of finger-licking options like grilled corn on the cob, zesty watermelon salad, tangy coleslaw, and a patriotic fruit platter featuring strawberries, blueberries, and white chocolate-dipped marshmallows. Don't forget to include some classic favorites like deviled eggs, sliders, and crispy tortilla chips with homemade salsa and guacamole!

Master the Grill:
Fire up the grill and let the smoky aroma tantalize your senses. Grilling is the heart and soul of any 4th of July BBQ, so make sure to impress your guests with mouthwatering dishes. Marinate juicy chicken, beef, or pork in flavorful BBQ sauces, and char them to perfection. If you're feeling adventurous, try grilling some seafood options like shrimp skewers or salmon fillets for a delightful twist. Vegetarian? No worries! Offer grilled veggie skewers with a drizzle of balsamic glaze or stuffed portobello mushrooms loaded with cheese and herbs.

Burgers and Dogs Galore:
No American BBQ is complete without classic burgers and hot dogs. Elevate the flavors by offering a variety of burger toppings and condiments. Set up a DIY burger bar with options like crispy bacon, caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, assorted cheeses, pickles, and a selection of mustards and ketchup. For the hot dogs, provide an array of unique toppings like chili, shredded cheese, diced onions, jalapeños, and relish. Let your guests get creative and build their own mouthwatering creations!
Sweet Treats and Red, White, and Blue Delights:
End your 4th of July BBQ bash on a sweet note with some irresistible desserts. Embrace the patriotic spirit by serving red, white, and blue treats like berry-filled pies, star-shaped sugar cookies with colorful icing, or a stunning flag cake decorated with fresh berries and whipped cream. And don't forget the ice cream! Set up a sundae station with various toppings, allowing everyone to create their own sweet masterpiece.

Fun and Games for All Ages:
While the food takes center stage, make sure to keep the festive atmosphere going with engaging activities for all ages. Set up lawn games like cornhole, ladder toss, or a friendly game of flag football. Don't forget to have some patriotic-themed crafts or face painting stations for the kids. And as the sun sets, gather everyone for a dazzling fireworks display or sparklers to light up the night sky in celebration of the nation's freedom.
Conclusion:
The 4th of July is a time to come together, celebrate, and honor the spirit of independence. With these tips and recipes, you'll be well-prepared to host a memorable 4th of July BBQ bash. So fire up the grill, embrace the red, white, and blue, and create a festive atmosphere that pays tribute to the values and history of our great nation. Happy Independence Day!

Stroke of Genius

So if you’ve followed my cooking show, you would know I’ve struggled with STROKES. My mom died from multiple strokes. The people who have watching know that I’ve had a TOA in Las Vegas in ‘99 and 2 major debilitating in 2018 and 2023.

2018 was a brain stem stroke that usually ends in death. GOD is not done with me yet. So I’m now out of the wheelchair and using a cane to walk around the house. This time I’m not scared cause I’ve been down this recovery road. So all is going great. I’m blessed to have a wife that is my dear angel on earth.

I just finished PT. Still continuing with OT.

So let’s address the people who want to see me die over a 4th stroke. You’ve got to come from a dark place to wish someone to really die. I feel bad and pray for those people. They must have a miserable life.

I’ve DJ’d night clubs, done radio, worked in artist management and had my own YOUTUBE show.  I’ve had a great life and have done all I’ve ever wanted to do. The only dream i have left is build my own studio and produce other people to live their dreams.

Been in the limelight my whole life. So people who dislike me is a normal thing for me. As long as the good outweighs the bad, i continue doing what i love.

Now to honor people who care for me. That’s truly why I’m who I am today. You guys made the COOKING WITH JACK SHOW what it is. Lots of love comes from you guys. I really appreciate you guys. It’s been a great journey. Not stopping anytime soon. I can’t begin to thank you for putting up with me.

I’ve had two people DM me and say,‘I used to goof on you,but now realize your an ok guy”

I just want to be an OKAY GUY!
